ABOUT THE INGENUE 

The Ingenue Studios is a place where we explore the depth of our lived experiences through the lens of child like wonder. 
Michelleine A. is a German born Ghanaian artist currently based in the U.S.A. Working primarily with canvas and ink she seeks to untangle the the experiences and traumas that has led to her becoming. The complexity and sophistication of each piece is  a by product of her multi continental upbringing and scarring. 
 

Artist Statement. 
The pursuit of alchemy will always lead back to our roots. My work has always served as a form of therapy. It looks to settle the cloudiness that is my adult perception through the freedom that is child like wonder. I never sought the sophistication that ensued only sure footing in the path that is my life.  Just like the Ingenue naivity and childish wonder has become my strength.
